A team of scientists has made a significant breakthrough in understanding how bevacizumab, a widely used cancer treatment, works on ovarian cancer cells. The researchers have identified a specific set of genes that are associated with the effectiveness of bevacizumab in treating this type of cancer.
Ovarian cancer is one of the most aggressive and deadly forms of cancer, affecting thousands of women worldwide each year. Bevacizumab, also known as Avastin, has been shown to improve survival rates for patients with advanced ovarian cancer when used in combination with chemotherapy.
